Founder's Installation - Hologram

The hologram installation comprises of a 5 minute looping animation featuring the founder of an all Indigenous private school in Alice Springs called Yipirinya School. Pictured above are his surviving family, two grandsons, a great grandchild and his daughter, who gave their blessing for the installation after a presentation. This presentation used an old 3D television that required the use of specialised polarised glasses. The screen that would be used in the installation was purchased from America as a 65" Lenticular Display allowing unaided 3D viewing.

The difficulties of rendering for the Hologram display became apparent requiring very powerful hardware and software to manage the 45 images per frame. Larger than true 8K images, this 8192px square frame is not able to played by the most capable of consumer renderers including the VLC application.
